Just like every year, Balaji wants to make some special gift for his teachers for this festival. So after a day thinking and discussing  finally Balaji agreed to make idol for the festival. And this time Balaji was very particular that He wanted to make an idol on his own, all by himself. I loved that he was so keen on making. So, we went bought m-seal to make idols.
Always make sure that your hands are dry while handling m-seal.  Apply powder (any talcum powder)in your hands so that it won’t stick in your hands.

1.    On opening the packet you will find 2 substances.

2.    Mix the white and black part of M-seal.
3.    When it turn grey roll and make the shape.
4.    First make two balls one bigger which forms the body and the little ball forms the head.
5.    Place the balls one upon another and merge the ends that touch.
6.     Add another coil to the head part to form the trunk.
7.    Create small balls of clay and flatten them to look like ears. Attach these to the sides of the head and merge the ends very well into the head portion.
8.    Then add two little coils for the tusks. Here is the finished idol that Balaji  made.
9.    Now, use chamki’s and stones to decorate your Ganesha. I used readymade Ganesha eyes for keeping eyes you can buy it or you can paint eyes after it dried.
10. He kept it in old cd so that Ganesha will have lighting effect too :)

If you want to be more creative, you can opt for hands, legs and other additions like jewels. Now leave the Ganesha Idol to dry.but not in direct sunlight as cracks may appear.

Balaji made five ganesha like this for his teachers, thatha and one for me too....... I love the way he think for others and the surprises he creates for every one..... My sweet baby.... Y
